Cozy dinner with my daughters and son-in-law I had a lot of rice left over so I made a 밥 그라탱, rice gratin with Korean flavours. Was just going to throw something together It turned out good! My son-in-law’s comment: ”Korean? You’ve never done that before! ”
밥 그라탱, rice gratin 4-6 serv.
2 tbsp veg. oil
1 yellow onion, finely diced
1 spring onion, sliced
400 g minced meat or soy mince
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 tsp ginger, grated
250 g cabbage, diced
2 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tbsp mirin
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tsp gochugaru
2 tbsp gochujang
black pepper
1 tsp dried perilla leaves
300 ml water
1 liter cooked rice
2 eggs
2 balls of mozzarella, grated
Preheat the oven to 200°C
Heat oil in a braiser you can put in the oven.
Fry the onions with the mince. Add garlic, ginger and cabbage.
Add seasonin and water, let it cook for 5 mins.
Mix rice with eggs and spread it over the mince-cabbage mix.
Spread the mozzarella over.
Bake in the middle of the oven until golden, 15-20 mins.
